DIA announces new Executive Director

The Downtown Issaquah Association is pleased to announce the appointment of new Executive Director, Brenda DeVore effective January 1st.  Brenda held the position of Cultural Events Director with DIA for the past year and served on the DIA board from 2013 through 2016.

Brenda has built her career around retail development consulting, event planning, waste reduction, sales, marketing, community engagement and customer service.    She has a passion for actively supporting her community, building community relationships and the environment. Past clients include business development for Recology, The Shops at Swedish, Seattle Homes and Lifestyles magazine.  She is married with two sons and enjoys cycling, mountain biking, rowing, camping, hiking, gardening, and entertaining.

We are looking forward to having Brenda as the new Executive Director, says president Keith Watts and letting her shine and making the position her own.  DIA will continue to work closely with the city on several projects including developing a streetscape plan and merchant program in 2017.  We will continue to expand and strengthen our events including Gas Station Blues, ArtWalk, Zombie Walk, Wine Walk and Fenders on Front Street.
