Downtown Issaquah Association

Volunteerism Information Meet and Greet

Thursday, January 26th from 7-8:30pm

Historic Shell Station

The Downtown Issaquah Association invites you to a community open house on Thursday, January 26th from 7-8:30pm at the historic Shell Station to learn how you can connect and serve in your community at DIA events and community outreach programs.   The historic Shell Station is the office of the Downtown Issaquah Association and is located at 232 Front Street North.

Are you gifted in hospitality, networking, engaging with people, accounting, event setup, photography, gardening or social media?  Are you a student looking for volunteer hours?  Are you new to our community and looking for a way to connect?  The Downtown Issaquah Association has a place for you to serve your community with time opportunities for all busy schedules.  Bring your neighbors, co-workers, friends enjoy some refreshments and learn more!

DIA contributes to your community in many ways:

  • Besides community events, DIA sends out a weekly newsletter to over 2000 people about what’s happening each week in downtown Issaquah.
  • DIA is nationally accredited a member of the Main Street America communities program.
  • DIA works closely with local businesses and property owners.
  • DIA covers costs for the winter holiday lights, which make people feel safe and festive on our dark winter nights.
  • DIA does fundraising for the Flower Baskets on Front Street to help foster the small town charm which so many of us cherish.
  • DIA works on helping to come up with creative and practical solutions for parking and safety issues in Downtown Issaquah.
    • DIA works on beautification projects for downtown including Spring Clean Up and repurposing underutilized space.
  • DIA is successful in creating community involvement and participation for residents of all ages.
  • DIA provides programming to bring vitality to the Downtown community with over 33 annual events including Wine Walk, Art Walk, Fenders Car Show, Gas Station Blues, National Music Day, Fantastic Fly In, Zombie Walk, Historic Pub Crawl, Community Caroling and more.
