Issaquah Goes Apples @ Shell Station | Issaquah | Washington | United States

The Downtown Issaquah Association will be hosting Issaquah Goes Apples, a community event combining activities in the downtown area including a farm fresh produce pop-up market, walking tours, art experiences, seasonal photo opportunities and more.

Local farmers will be at the Historic Shell Station Saturday, October 21st from 10am-3pm with a bounty of farm fresh produce.  Shop the market, then leave your bags with our concierge while you enjoy family-friendly activities throughout Downtown Issaquah.

There’s so much to see and do during Issaquah Goes Apples:

  • Farm fresh pop-up and merchant market at the Historic Shell Station from 10am-3pm
  • Experience cider making on an old-fashioned apple press
  • Art by Fire – spend 15 minutes to make your own blown glass pumpkin from 9-1 and 2-6.  You can pre-register at https://book.peek.com/s/452bb219-1e76-4c94-aa5f-d2409ef66c0d/3r99 or by calling Art by Fire at 425-996-8867.

  • Olde Town Mine History Hike from 10am-12:30pm and a Hometown Issaquah Hike for kids at 1:00pm hosted by Issaquah History Museums
  • Seasonal photo opportunities – pumpkins, hay bales, corn stalks provided by The Grange will be set up around Downtown Issaquah for you to take your fall family photos

artEAST will also be sponsoring an apple themed art competition for youth ages 5-18.  Submit a JPEG or PDF of your work via email to goapples@arteast.org by midnight October 9th.  Accepted media includes paint, watercolor, crayon, pencil or photography and must relate to apples in some way.  All submissions will be displayed at multiple venues throughout Downtown Issaquah.  If your artwork is selected as one of the winners, it will be featured at artEAST on October 21st.  The grand prize winner will receive an art session at the artEAST Gallery in downtown Issaquah.  For more info, refer to their website at arteast.org.
