SUMMARY:ArtWalk & Music Stroll
DESCRIPTION:ArtWalks and Music Strolls transform downtown Issaquah into an open-air gallery and music venue. On these evenings, local artists display their work in shops, galleries, and public spaces while live musicians perform throughout downtown, creating a lively, walkable experience that invites people to linger, explore, and connect.\nThe event supports Issaquah’s creative community by giving artists and musicians real visibility and meaningful opportunities to share their work. It brings new energy and foot traffic to downtown businesses during evening hours. ArtWalks and Music Strolls strengthen Issaquah’s identity as a place that values creativity, supports local talent, and believes that art and music honor and preserve the downtown culture.\nTake a stroll down the historically hip Downtown Issaquah at the ArtWalk & Music Stroll. Discover local treasures, shop handmade artisan gifts, and listen to live music as Front Street transforms into an avenue of outdoor performances in Olde Town Issaquah.\nThe Artwalk and Music Stroll happens all summer long: May 9, June 13, August 8, and September 19 from 5 pm-8 pm. The Historically Hip Artisan Market will be front and center. The summer-long celebration of Issaquah’s bevy of local artists offers a cultural boon for both locals and visitors to enjoy the best of what Downtown Issaquah has to offer.\nSaturday 5-8 pm, May 9 | June 13 | August 8 | September 19\nFree public event | Live Music\nHistorically Hip Artisan Market\nHands-on Arts Projects\nEveryone Welcome\n \nPlease check out a special addition to June 13th – Click here for details about the Veterans Town Hall at the Issaquah Train Depot. Bob Antone ( https://bobantone.com/ ) performs on a variety of instruments, including musical saw, violin, banjo, guitar, and Irish drum. From giant snakes encountered at Tradition Lake by surveyors in 1864, to sinking cars on Squak Mountain, Bigfoot sightings, UFOs spotted over Costco and parts of Issaquah, a cursed cabin to unsolved mysteries and fun local legends, this all-ages presentation has it all!”\n\n“Bob Antone and his wife Laura have been collecting obscure regional stories from various towns throughout Washington State for many years. They lead historical walking tours of Issaquah, the Snoqualmie Valley, Bellevue, eastern Washington, Seattle, the Olympic Peninsula and more. Bob is a regional storyteller and traditional musician. Having been recognized by academic institutions including Washington State Parks, the Seattle Watershed, Harvard University, Snoqualmie Valley Historical Museum, Lewis County Historical Museum and a variety of professionals in the field, he and his band “Tinkham Road” have performed extensively throughout the Pacific Northwest.\n\nIssaquah’s designation as a Creative Arts District is recognition of the multitude of talented artists who call Issaquah home. Artisans will be celebrated throughout the season in Historically Hip Downtown.\nThis is a special year where summer art and global community collide in Downtown Issaquah. We are building a massive geodesic dome installation, and we need your creativity to bring it to life.
