Visitors from near and far fill downtown, boosting local shops, restaurants, and hotels, while families, friends, and neighbors connect over shared tunes.\nConfluence puts Issaquah on the map as a hub for music and creativity, gives local musicians the spotlight they deserve, and fills the city with energy, laughter, and unforgettable moments—one song at a time.\nReserve your free tickets here\nThe heartbeat of Issaquah’s summer explodes on Sunday, August 30, as the 8th Annual Confluence Music Festival takes over Confluence Park from 2 to 7 p.m. This free, five-hour celebration isn’t just a concert — it’s an immersive festival experience where music, art, and community collide.\nGet ready for a vibrant lineup featuring local legends, rising stars, and internationally acclaimed artists, all coming together to create a multicultural musical journey. From soulful jazz to global grooves, folk storytelling to funk that moves your feet, the park will pulse with sound, energy, and connection. Beer and wine will be available for sale near the stage for those 21 and older.\nThe festival lineup includes musicians representing the local blues societies, including the Inland Empire Society ( https://inlandempireblues.com/ ), Cascade Blues Association,  ( https://cascadeblues.org/ )and the Washington Blues Society ( https://wablues.org/ ), who have attended the International Blues Challenge ( https://blues.org/international-blues-challenge/ibc-challengers/ ) (IBC). IBC is a prestigious music competition organized by the Blues Foundation ( https://blues.org/about/ ), held annually in Memphis, Tennessee. The event celebrates the blues genre and offers a life-changing opportunity for musicians to showcase their original music in front of professional judges.\nBut the music is just the beginning. Explore interactive art installations, such as the Strings of Change exhibit, or view works in progress by our plein air artists. Dubbed “Portland String Queen” by The Oregonian for her multi-instrumental prowess, Lauren is also known for her unforgettable voice and sings like “an angel with horns”, (Charlie Rowley, fan). She tours, teaches at Pacific University, and has recorded 5 CDs played on radio world-wide, including BBC, NPR, and BBKing’s Bluesville. Her music has been catalogued in the Library of Congress, and was recently included on “Sweet Bitter Blues” a compilation CD celebrating living Piedmont blues musicians, produced by Phil Wiggins and Frank Matheis.\n \n3:30 – 5pm Alison Joy Williams ( https://www.alisonjoywilliams.com/ )\n\n“I’m a little bit of Everything”\n\n\nTop of the charts. Sold out shows…\nAlison Joy Williams is a contemporary Americana artist, songwriter, and author.  \n​She has spent the better part of her life moving and touring around the world.  She’s found herself in every kind of venue. From Festivals with over 5000 attendees to acoustic cafés Alison’s vocal style has a way of making you feel every note and word of her songs. \nAlison has performed across the US, Europe, and entertained audiences in the Far East, Middle East, and African continent. Notable venues include The Listening Room, Nashville,  BB King’s, Memphis, The Laboratorium, Germany, The Pheasantry, London, and The Royal Atlas,  Morocco.\nHer festival appearances include The Wallace Music Festival,  Spokane’s Pig Out in the Park,  Walla Walla Guitar Festival,  a guest appearance in the Gospel show at the Big Blues Bender, and many more.  \n Alison is currently based in the inland Pacific Northwest and can be found performing at many of the area’s music venues and blues festivals. \n​“She’s got power, range, and knows how to use them.” Peter Lauro,  Keeping The Blues Alive award-winning music critic and promoter. \n\n \n5:30 – 7pm Earl Wear & Haywire ( https://www.instagram.com/earlwearandhaywire/ )\nEarl Wear started singing at age five and turned professional in his late teens. He won numerous contests, including a spot on the Charlie Daniels Talent Roundup in Nashville. He placed 1st in The Jimmy Dean Country Showdown at the local AND regional competitions and placed 6th at the national show, beating out 10,000 other acts.\nEarl and his band, Haywire (comprised of the best musicians around: Kenny Cataldo’s soothing steel guitar, Grady Shawver’s perfect pickin’, Seth Humphrey’s rockin’ bass & Michael Hay’s spot-on drums) have been playing together for over 10 years and have developed quite a following. In 2001, they were voted “Best Band in the Pacific Northwest”. They have worked with over 65 national country recording artists and are now a full-time touring group covering some of the biggest country venues across the nation.\nRECENTLY: In the past year, Earl has worked with Blake Shelton, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Keith Anderson, Mark Chestnutt, Tracy Lawrence, Luke Bryan, Chuck Wicks, Ricochet, Rodney Adkins, Reckless Kelly, Clay Walker & Collin Raye, to name a few. He performed two special acoustic shows for Phil Vassar. He headlined at the WYO Theater in Sheridan, Wyoming for their famous “WYO Rodeo Days”. He and the band have graced main fair, rodeo & festival stages from the Oregon Coast to Connecticut!\nAWARDS: Earl was awarded “Best Male Vocalist” at the 2009 Independent Music Network Awards. His hit single, “Walking To Wyoming”, was re-released in 2008 and is now in regular rotation on most country radio stations in the West and Midwest. It has spent 22 weeks at #1 on the Independent Music Network’s Country Charts.\nEarl was nominated for three (3) awards this year (2010). “Best Male Vocalist”, “Favorite Single” (Blame It On Jones) and “Favorite Country Impact Artist/Band of the Year”.
