Downtown Issaquah Story Stroll™ Maisy Plays Soccer: A Maisy First Experiences Book
ISSAQUAH, Wash., June 27 – July 26 – The Downtown Issaquah Association celebrates its latest Story Stroll™ “edutainment” program along with the Issaquah Library with the fanciful, heartwarming book “Maisy Plays Soccer: A Maisy First Experiences Book” written and illustrated by Lucy Cousins.
The Story Stroll™ features how Maisy and her friends can’t wait to play soccer! Maisy puts on her uniform, laces up her sneakers, and heads to the field. Charlie, Tallulah, and Dotty are on the blue team, while Maisy, Cyril, and Eddie are on the red. Let’s play! Soon enough the game heats up, with plenty of action, excitement, and suspense. Who will be the first team to make a goal? Whatever the score, it’s all in good fun, and everyone is still the best of friends at the end!
Each page will be displayed prominently in business windows along Front Street from Village Theatre to Sunset Way from June 27th through July 26st.
Champions of literacy and visual arts, the Downtown Issaquah Association, and the King County Issaquah Library, host strolls at least twice a year.
“Our Story Strolls celebrate literacy, diverse perspectives, and have always been one of the most popular programs for residents, school children, and visitors from all over the Eastside,” said DIA President Christina Bruning.
According to many book reviewers, this book on toddler feelings, fears, etc., are a cute and fun way to introduce the subject and help little ones see real-life participation; e.g., playing with kids/team mates, taking turns, cheering, etc.
