Plein Air Art Contest 2022 – At Confluence Music Festival
You are invited!
The Confluence Music Festival hosted by the Downtown Issaquah Association, is coming up on Sunday, August 28th from 2-7 pm at Confluence Park. This is a free-to-attend event featuring live music, artists, food and beverage, and activities.
In conjunction with the festival, the Downtown Issaquah Association is hosting a Plein Air Art Contest.
Category 1 – Artists are invited to capture the beauty of the flower baskets hanging on Front Street with the unique architecture of Historic Downtown Issaquah as the backdrop, on canvas or paper.
Category 2 – Artists can also choose to paint in Confluence Park and depict the activities during the festival.
Schedule for the Contest –
2:00 p.m. Artist Registration at the Information booth at Confluence Park
(Artists must have canvas or paper stamped to compete)
4:45 p.m. Submit your work for judging and voting
5:30 p.m.- People’s Choice Award winners announced
Three prizes (first place $75, second place $50 and third place $25 in the form of gift cards to local businesses) will be awarded in each category.
Pre-registration is available and highly recommended, but not mandatory. Please contact us if you are interested in participating, or have any questions about this fun event. Also, feel free to forward this to anyone you know who might be interested.
The art may be used by the Downtown Issaquah Association for promotional purposes (including cards, t-shirts and/or posters).
