Bryce Van Parys, Issaquah native, a Renaissance Man of Music. Bryce first debuted his solo act in historic Downtown Issaquah in 2021 and it is an extraordinary honor to feature Bryce performing with various groups at the Historic Shell Station Main Stage during the 2022 Wine & ArtWalks. Bryce Van Parys has always had music in his life. Most people know Bryce as a string specialist. They meet him at Hammond Ashley Violins downtown Issaquah, where he is the general manager and vice-president or they know him as a performer in the music scene. Many know him from the years when he performed with the Tacoma Symphony and the Bellevue Philharmonic, and many know him from Central Washington University where he received his Bachelor of Music degree.
Bryce grew up in the Issaquah School District, and graduated from Liberty High School in 1993. Through various bands and orchestras, Bryce has shared the stage with Ben E. King (Stand by Me), Ray Charles, Yes, Heart, and many more. Bryce has been able to travel the USA and internationally through his musical connections, and been given opportunities unimaginable to a small boy growing up in Rural East Renton.
A versatile performer, Bryce is a member of several different bands including blues band, Scotty FM and the Broadcasters and rock band, The Murder Hornets. His latest group to come to fruition is actually a revival of an earlier country band from Ellensburg in 1990’s called Tumbleweed Junction. The newly reformed group is now Buckboard Junction.
