Our Community, Our Voice: Flying Pie Pizzeria
A continuing series of high 5’s from local residents…
Fandom? Fanatics? Flying Pie Inspires Both!
Katheryn Parker has owned Flying Pie Pizzeria for nearly 24 years. She started working for her family at Boise, Idaho’s version of the restaurant, but came to Seattle to forge her own path. She tried to get pizza out of her system. But after a number of jobs, she came back to the business she says is in her veins.
Growing the Portfolio
Given its devoted following, Flying Pie is expanding into a marketplace! Talk about Issaquah’s quirky side. Katheryn sells her personal free-range chicken eggs — which have their own enthusiasts. Add to that fresh sausage made from Katheryn’s mom’s recipes, freshly baked croutons and pasta, and you can bypass the grocery store.
Lucky for Her Aficionados!
Brandy Badger:  “Amazing Pizza. I have been going here for 16 plus years! Make sure this local place stays alive !!! Support local!”
Ian Proctor:  “If you try it once you will return again and again. Super generous pizza toppings (sausage has an awesome spicy kick), our kids love the salad bar, people are like family. An Issaquah institution!”
Sifu Johann Sasynuik:  “Magical! Family owned and operated. Highly Recommend!”
Teresa Leatham:  “Best pizza on Planet Earth! Stromboli has my heart, drove an hour to grab it. Loving the new ordering app, so easy.”
